The meaning of Pride
 a. Positive or 'good' kind
 b. Negative or 'bad' kind
 c. Biblical usage of pride

A form of self worship, self exaltation leaving God out of our achievements. - 2 Samuel 24:1-10.

Pride separates man from God

Pride stops us from seeking help
Pride makes forgiving and reconciling difficult

Humilty:
- What it is NOT: self effacement denying one's worth and giftedness, 'false humility'.
- What it is: recognizing one's true self, acknowledge God's role, not seeking man's praise.

The Grace of Humility
"God opposes the proud but gives grave to the humble." - James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5

Grace of knowing one's standing
Grace of lasting relationship with man and God
Grace of enduring injustice and unfairness
Grace of a teachable spirit
Grace of seeking and releasing forgiveness
Grace of speech and a meek spirit
Grace of selfless sacrifice (Phil 2:3-5)
